Michelle est la coordonnatrice du programme sur la formation et le mentorat chez Action diabète Canada. Elle est titulaire d’une maîtrise en administration publique et d’un baccalauréat en éducation de l’Université de Moncton. Depuis sa nomination en janvier 2017, Michelle contribue à l’élaboration de la stratégie de rendement du programme sur la formation et le mentorat et des programmes de mentorat, de stage et de bourses de recherche qui en découlent. Par ailleurs, en collaboration avec des partenaires de Diabète Canada, elle a organisé les Journées des stagiaires de Diabète Canada qui ont eu lieu à l’automne dans le cadre de la Conférence professionnelle du même organisme. De plus, Michelle organise et coordonne les séances de formation, offertes en anglais et en français, au sujet de la recherche axée sur le patient. Michelle espère collaborer plus étroitement avec les patients partenaires, les stagiaires et les chercheurs de manière à concevoir les prochaines séances de formation qui répondront mieux à leurs besoins.

Description:

Michelle is the coordinator for the Training and Mentoring Program at Diabetes Action Canada. Michelle holds a Master’s degree in Public Administration and a Bachelor’s degree in Education from the Université de Moncton. Since her appointment in January 2017, Michelle has contributed to the development of the Training and Mentoring Program Performance Strategy and its Mentorship, Internship and Fellowship Programs. She has also collaborated with partners at Diabetes Canada in the organization of the Diabetes Canada Trainee Days offered in conjunction with the Diabetes Canada Professional Conference in the fall. Michelle also organizes and coordinates Patient-Oriented Research (POR) Training Sessions in both English and French. Michelle looks forward to working more closely with patient partners, trainees and researchers in developing future training sessions that will better address their needs.
