Description

Anas Neumann is a deep learning and optimization researcher at CIRRELT (www.cirrelt.ca), Polytechnique Montréal (www.polymtl.ca), and Université Laval (www.ulaval.ca). He has an MSc. in software engineering from Manouba University in Tunisia and a Ph.D. in operations and decision systems from the Faculty of Business Administration at Université Laval in Canada. His main research interests include (i) data-driven approaches for type-1 diabetes management (blood glucose prediction, patient clustering, and XAI-based recommender systems) and (ii) domain-specific language/multi-modal models for Industry 4.0 (planning and scheduling, industrial tutoring, and engineer-to-order). Dr. Neumann is the lead developer of the pedagogic platform www.i4evosim.com, a gamified simulation of an engineer-to-order market based on genetic algorithms and deep reinforcement learning.
