Knowledge Mobilization

Ensuring successful, large-scale uptake within health care programs requires the skills of knowledge translation experts. This is why knowledge translation and evaluation are so important to the work of Diabetes Action Canada.

Connect1d Canada is a patient-driven digital platform that allows those with type 1 diabetes (T1D) to easily learn about advances in innovative care, while contributing to Canadian research in the areas that matter most to them. Connect1d Canada also allows researchers to easily engage people living with T1D of diverse backgrounds from across Canada, enabling rapid recruitment into research studies.

Type 1 Diabetes and Exercise

As part of Dr. Jon McGavock’s type 1 diabetes (T1D) and exercise research at the Children’s Hospital Research Institute of Manitoba (CHRIM), his team has developed a series of webinars on this topic.

Sex and Gender

At Diabetes Action Canada sex-and gender-based analysis plus (SGBA+) is incredibly important in what we do, but is there a clear understanding of what it means? Diabetes Action Canada’s Sex and Gender Research Enabling Program would like to shed some light on why SGBA+ is so important in health research and how it can be considered and applied throughout the research process.
