Senaya Karunarathne is an undergraduate student pursuing her Honours Bachelor of Science at McMaster University in Hamilton, Ontario. In addition to her studies, she is a research and teaching assistant at McMaster. Senaya is a passionate advocate with a particular interest in the disproportionate impact of type 2 diabetes on Black and South Asian populations. She plans to pursue a career as a physician targeted at better supporting these communities.
