Description

Andréanne Michaud (PhD, RD) is an Assistant Professor at Université Laval School of Nutrition and a researcher at the Quebec Heart and Lung Institute (IUCPQ), the Centre Nutrition, santé et société (NUTRISS) and the Institute of Nutrition and Functional Foods (INAF). The overall objective of her research program is to evaluate the impact of interventions targeting cardiometabolic health on brain structure and function as well as the consequent impact on cognition. Her research program contains projects that employ brain MRI techniques in combination with behavioral and metabolic measurements. Her work aims to improve our understanding of how obesity-linked cardiometabolic alterations relate to brain and cognitive health, which may in turn improve the overall health prospects of our aging society.
