Natalie Mangialardi
Natalie Mangialardi (she/her) is a Fellow with Diabetes Action Canada (DAC) living in Toronto. Through the Fellowship, and her ongoing work at the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH) under Dr. Peter Selby, she utilizes her lived experience with type 1 diabetes (T1D) and mental illness to inform and advocate for the co-development of resources and services that better support young adults with T1D. Natalie completed her Bachelor of Arts in psychology and Bachelor of Education at Queen’s University in 2020, and is currently pursuing her Master of Social Work at the University of Toronto. Following the DAC Fellowship, she intends to continue pushing for change in diabetes care, with a particular focus on community engagement, destigmatization, and health equity.
