Description

Dr. Rabasa-Lhoret is an endocrinologist at the Montreal Clinical Research Institute (IRCM) and holds two research chairs. His research program on type 1 diabetes primarily focuses on reducing the frequency and impact of hypoglycemia. He is also actively involved in advocating for the rights of people living with diabetes, in training healthcare professionals, and in scientific communication for the general public. He has published over 350 manuscripts and book chapters and received multiple awards. He holds funding from multiple agencies including NIH, CIHR-foundation grant, Diabetes Canada & CIHR-JDRF-SPOR. The main research areas of the group are: Reduce the frequency and consequences of hypoglycemia for patients with type 1 diabetes (T1D) and Cystic fibrosis related diabetes.
