Description
As a mixed Indigenous registered nurse, originally from Yellowknife, NT, Sara Scott is a PhD student supervised by Drs David Campbell and Lindsay Crowshoe in the Department of Community Health Sciences (Health Services Research) at the University of Calgary. Her research will explore the benefits of social connectedness, found in community and peer support, for optimizing diabetes outcomes within Indigenous populations. When Sara is not studying, she is a busy mom, likely cooking something or driving her kids somewhere.
