Rosan Wesley
Rosan Wesley is a Cree Woman from the Muskegowuk territory in Treaty 9 who grew up in Moosonee, ON and now resides in Thunder Bay. She is the daughter of a residential school survivor. Rosan completed her Masters Degree in Social Work and is now in private practice as a Mental Health Therapist. Rosan has seen the impact diabetes can have through the generations within her own family, and she herself was diagnosed with Type 2 Diabetes nine years ago. She is a 2024 Diabetes Action Canada fellow and recently becoming a patient partner with the Diabetes Action Canada Indigenous Patient Circle. Through these programs, she hopes to support fellow Indigenous people living with or caring for a loved one with diabetes.
