Lee Anne White

Taanshi! My name is Lee Anne, and I’m a Métis artist, community volunteer, and lifelong learner living in the beautiful West Kootenays of British Columbia. I’ve lived with Type 1 diabetes for decades, and over the years I’ve found purpose in supporting others through the DIY artificial pancreas community, helping make complex technology and information more approachable and accessible. I believe that lived experience, research, creativity, and collaboration all have an important role to play in improving diabetes care. Through the Research-to-Action Fellowship, I’m excited to learn alongside an incredible group of people, build lasting relationships, and contribute my perspective toward creating more equitable, person-centered resources that can make a meaningful difference for people living with diabetes.
